Frequently Asked Questions
Carlton Guitar Lessons FAQs
Where are lessons held? What schedule are lessons available?
Usually a meeting room is booked at the Kathleen Syme Library and Community Centre. However, in light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, all lessons are held remotely over Zoom.
What if my child can’t make it to a lesson?
Notice is required 3 hours ahead of lesson time to reschedule a session to another day. A no show fee of 50% will be incurred if advanced notice is not given.
Does my child need my his/her own guitar?
Yes. Attending sessions is only half of learning. The other half is up to each student to practice playing at home. In this way, students can receive next-level instruction at lessons with Teacher Alana.
Any promotions I can book?
Carlton Guitar Lessons offers one free lesson when a friend books a set of lessons.
What ages are appropriate for guitar lessons?
6 years old and up are recommended as an age to start as a beginner.
My child has taken guitar lessons before at another organisation, and I am looking for a new teacher. Is this possible?
Yes absolutely! Teacher Alana at Carlton Guitar Lessons accepts students who are beginner and at intermediate level. See About section on what new things students can learn.
